Arsenal FC, Leyton Orient FC, Heybridge Swifts (loan), Sivaspor, PFK Etar 1924.

Honours as player: 2 youth caps for Turkey

Previous clubs as coach: Leyton Orient FC Academy 

 

Former Turkey youth-international goalkeeper Yilmaz Aksoy, has played for a number of clubs; from Arsenal FC to Leyton Orient FC. His career started off at the prestigious Arsenal FC Academy, moving onto Leyton Orient FC at the age of 16 to play as a professional goalkeeper. Yilmaz spent two seasons at Leyton Orient FC before move to the Bulgarian Premier league side PFK Etar 1924 in 2013.

 

Yilmaz’s career was cut short after sustaining a knee injury in 2013, when playing for PFK Etar. This was a turning point for Yilmaz, his his passion for football soon developed into a passion for coaching and passing on his experiences and skills onto the next generation of goalkeepers.

 

Since then Yilmaz has been completed many coaching qualifications, obtaining his UEFA B Licence in coaching and his FA B Licence in Goalkeeping. Yilmaz is also one of the youngest coaches to have obtained the Level 4 Advanced Youth Award; specialising in Goalkeeping.
